I would only slow down if he c/r'ed me, but still call down with top pair (unless I had a near perfect read on my opponent). Raising the flop was the most important part of the hand BTW, nice hand.

You have to raise this flop to push out unwanted Kings and Aces. Also, barring any raises from your opponent or clubs out of the deck, I would continue to bet top pair. (I might even bet if a club came out.)
