I think I played this correct through the turn, but was it correct to cap on the river. I put SB on A,7. I think my play was right on. SB is LAP, MP1 is LPP.

Why did you only call on the turn? I don't see why that should be correct. Since you didn't raise the turn, I think would also cap the river.

At what point did you make this read? When he 3-bet the river? Also, this is inconsistent with the read that SB is LA-P. Why would he bet second pair on the turn with a king on the board against a preflop raiser?

The correct play is to raise on the turn and then cap if rerasied is what you are saying. I guess I wasn't so solid on the turn.

Raise the turn, call a re-reraise and then check/call the river. If SB only calls your turn raise, bet/raise the river. I don't cap the river here against a passive post flop player with top two. I don't see a passive player three-betting here with a hand I still beat more than 50% of the time, so the river cap is wrong. My guess will be you got shown 22 at showdown.

Standard Disclaimer, I am by no means an expert at any of this.

22? 44 or 77 seem much more likely to me.

I was thinking he had a set too. But leading on the turn didn't make sense to me. /images/graemlins/confused.gif I'm just so use to seeing a checkraise in situations where an opponent holds a set.

The turn action is what makes me think it is 22, he hit his set and got aggressive. Unless he was going for an overcall on the flop, I think 44 or 77 raise the flop.
