Party 100 NL

I've been screwing around on Party, and frankly I don't understand how anyone can stand playing Party's 100 nl. Roughly half of hands dealt involve $8-$10 (ie 8% or 10% of your stack) preflop raises, and it just involves too much variance for my taste.

It seems to me the only way to make money there is to be one of those people raising $10 preflop with ace jack and just rely on the other guy not hitting. But it also seems to me there are a lot more sharks than fish there nowadays so maybe Party will come to their senses and make it .50/1.00 before the pool dries up completely.

I play a 1/2, $100 max live NL game at Turning Stone every so often, and instead of $8 or $10, the open-raise is $12 or $17 half the time.

It takes some strategy adjustments to play in such a shallow-stacked game, but I've learned to isolate certain players with loose raising standards and try to build up a stack. I'm much more willing to "gamble" on slight edges with my first $100 in a game like this, knowing that part of my equity in winning a coin flip is the superior position at the table that comes with having a stack twice the size of the buy-in.

What bankroll would you guys recommend for playing the Party 100. I have about 1100 on there and have decided on 4tabling 10handed NL, so I'm starting with the 25 tables and planning on moving up once I get to around 1500. Then I was giong to do the same with the 50 dollar buyin. At what point is it very safe that I can play the Party 100NL? Is 20 buyins enough for this game? Thanks in advance.

The full table Party NL 100 games are rock gardens. Stay clear and play short-handed.

I play 4 6max 100 NL and use 2k, and cash out 1k when i hit 3k

Got down to 1200 online and was scared to be that low...havent been that low in a while....If I get below 1k, then i move down to 50s
