Do you think MP3 is just going to check and call all the way with three aces? Probably not. I guess sometimes he'll have a jack and have rivered you, but more than likely he won't. Although I suck and would probably check behind too, it's probably correct to bet the river.

I like the preflop, flop, and turn play.

I might check behind on the river, like you did, since MP3 could have KK-JJ or J8 or an ace that's scared of its kicker or a slowplayed ace or 88.

But I wonder if a value bet would be better. (I'm thinking an 8 and worse pocket pairs would probably call. One problem is that I'm not folding to a checkraise in a pot this big. But I don't think a checkraise is all that likely.)

If the BB had any chips left at the end of the hand, you missed a very easy value bet.

question: why does he think he is ahead enough here to value bet the flop, after it was capped preflop and called by so many people? or is this bet not for value..?
