Ultimate Bet Review:

Ive been playing here on and off for about 5+ months.

(Score 1-10)

Graphics/Presentation: 9.7

The #1 best looking site in my opinion. The colors blend

in well. I like the way the current high hand is presented

in real time in the lower left corner of the screen. The table

shape is a bit odd.

Speed/Server Reliability: 5.0

Very slow. Part of the problem may actually be the software

itself. There seems to be some memory leaks as my computer will

run very sluggish even after I close the software.

It's hard to distinguish if the lag is in the software or the connection.

Haven't had too many problems with the server going down.

Game quality/selection/Action: 6.5

High scores for the Action. The players play so bad it is

ridiculous. Ive been fluctuating like a mother. Game selection

is moderately bad.

My #1 complaint is that even though they advertise "9 AND 10

handed games", they save the 10 handed games for the play

tables. Therefore when you are in a full 9 handed games, a

high % of the hands are dealt 7 handed, since people are

always sitting out. Everybody knows 9 handed games pull in

more rake..You can't help feeling like your getting screwed here.

Multiple tables are allowed, however with the speed problem,

its not recommended as it seems to drag even more.

Player incentives: 7.8

Some may disagree with this score, but $100 added to a

high hand giveaway every 3 hrs isn't nothing to get overly

excited about. (I havent hit it yet). They do present it quite well

though. Also they have some kind of freeroll tournie, for people

who have the most high hands in a period of time.

I had to subtract from the score because of the 9 handed

story..You cant feel like your getting an incentive with

6-7 players dealt in a game thats listed as being full.

Customer Support: No opinion

Overall score: 7.2(not a weight)

Summary:

Very nice presentation. Very well marketed. Nice

high hand promo.

With exception of the great action, thats about where

the compliments end.

As a player who plays shorthanded and full games

on a regular basis, It really bothers me being dealt

in 7 handed the majority of the time, especially when

they obviously have the capability of 10 handed games,

as they demonstrate at the play tables.

Greed prevails.

It wouldnt hurt them to rewrite the guts of their software.

My computer(s) (laptop and desktop) both struggle to

emit the simpliest of sounds. Not very smooth.

Lots of potential here. Hope they dont waste it.

thanks for the review...

I have not had any server problems there and the games have been very quick, in fact they give you less time than Paradise to respond. Maybe this is a problem with your machine or connection.

You must be kidding.

And as I stated in my review, this was on 2 different computers

over a period of 5+months (using cable modem).

And I am convinced there is a memory leak or some kind

of corruption/confliction caused by the software.

I also didn't have major problems with server down time.

The most important part about Ultimate - they are either the fastest or close to at processing and sending payout requests.

I noticed the games breaking up when they lose 2 or 3 players.Maybe if they went to 10 players it might help this problem.Or better yet a cheaper rake than the one offered.

The nolimit games are very good and they also offer pot limit. I have a new computer and an old computer, and have found no problems on a P4 1.3Ghz but quite slow on a P166.

The rake is fairly high as they take 5c out for eash dollar, rather than having 25c at each $5. Makes a pretty big difference over time and in shorthanded pots.

That makes Ultimatebets rake the highest on the net. By far. Why play there ?????
