Sometimes the best play is to make the obvious "fish" bluff in order to induce calls. You just lay the groundwork, and they come b/c 'hey, its obvious youre bluffing' and they are playing you as the fish. lol, my words are kind of jumbled.

I pot the flop hoping someone has king, and will start salivating b/c what the hell, they have trips and im betting into them. Anyone else do this?

I was ready to fold to any significant bets on flop. I felt i was behind at the moment(maybe one of the mp limpers) but i was happy to take the turn for the minbet. Turn is a beauty, so i autobet pot. River, basically nobody will fold the 2nd nuts so there i go.

Plays like these work great in my experience at the 10s and 20s sngs, but as you progress up players start to think more and more on your level. Comments?

I dont think these plays are really that great. They each had good hands, its not like they called with nothing.

The whole point is that you know that they have goods hands too. Its just that you know youre ahead, it may be bc its not easily seen (poc 66 in first hand)or you make a play as to seem fishy (trip queens). You want them to play back at you with their good hands. Its just you know you have the best hand.

I think if you would have gone all in in any case instead of your "fish" beat you would have gotten the same results.

I was thinking the same thing.

lol sorry. I misunderstood your post the first time i read it. I completely agree. Kind of ridiculous how simple and better your thinking is. Constructive input.

In order to see if its a "great play" lets exchange the hands. now say YOU hold the KT in the first example. a guy goes all in on you do u fold? are you goin to muck that hand cos he might have 66 or a K with a better kicker?
in those buy-ins I think it would be an easy call. someone could do that with QQ (or other meduim pair or with AQ or just bluff.
In other words, given the hands on the table it is highly likly to end all in anyway. but you didnt know what he has when you did bet!!. your play is correct only because he might call you with hands like QQ etc. your plan is to extract the max $ out of the pot. In that exact example it wouldnt matter what you would do.
