View Full Version : my first bad beat

Happened in the Pstars no limit HE tourney tonight. I'm clueless about no limit, so I probably played the hand wrong, and when it happened, I think I pulled a muscle in my brain. I got over it soon thereafter.

There was about 50something players left and I was short stacked with T4800ish blinds 200/400. I get dealt AA in early position and raised to 800. The high chipholder (HC) at the table called. Flop came Th Ax Xx. I bet T1000, HC raises T1000, and I went all in. Hearts fall on the turn and river. He turned over two hearts for a flush. I think he was playing the Xx pair, can't remember. It hurt but I'll learn from it.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

You played the hand perfectly... forget about the fact that he called and made his hand against the odds.. theoretically he paid you off.. (whether you won the hand or not).... Keep playing in the tournaments... they'll make you a better player....
