Saw people talking about the show in another thread so I figured I'd start this discussion.

To me, nothing beats the one where he takes the hooker to Dodger Stadium.

How about none of them?

I never did like that show. I always thought it was just annoying and not funny. Of course I wasn't a Seinfeld fan either.

I believe every episode mentioned so far has been from the third or fourth season.

C'mon guys, get those early season dvds, the stuff is priceless.

Seems like you wouldn't even bother opening the thread...

I just saw "The Terrorist Attack," and nearly died. I never realized Cheryl was so funny.

I've only seen the first couple of seasons. I stopped getting HBO because CYE was the only thing I was watching, and couldn't stand the wait between seasons.

At any rate, I particularly like the one where Larry uses his mother's death as an excuse not to attend social functions. The one where he has to replace the little girl's doll is classic as well. Or how about the one with Bob Odenkirk as the porn star? Hell, they're all classics.

Yes. The first season one with the parking lot attendant, the lawyer who charges him to read his script, chasing that fat girl down at the doctor's pffice, etc. That's a riot.

In no particular order:

1. Calling the guy a [censored] in the poker game
2. The "beloved [censored]" typo obituary
3. The restaurant opening with the Touretts syndrom chef
4. The episode where he rents the nativity scene and then insult Joseph by telling him Mary is hot and then gets attacked by Joseph who cold cocks him which results in him coughing up the pubic hair that he had caught in his throat for about 3 episodes and he was so happy despite getting the shiit kicked out of him.

I said no particular order but #4 is my favorite.

You should seriously consider getting HBO. Nearly all of their series are fantastic, IMO. On Demand is a great way to catch up if you have that feature.

If it weren't for HBO I would hardly ever watch TV. Except for sports and poker on TV, HBO is the only thing offering anything that is worth watching.

Agreed. Sopranos, Six Feet Under, CYE and Oz are all incredible (and for the record, my favorite CYE is the restaurant opening: "F--- you, you car-wash c--t!"). I haven't watched Deadwood or the Wire yet. How are those?

I'd bang Cheryl, and it's not close. I don't say that about many women her age. Whhat do you think?

I haven't watched The Wire yet either. Entourage: Awesome. Ali G: Awesome. Deadwood: Pretty Awesome, if you can focus on it. Carnivale: Awesome.

I think it's obvious which is my favorite. Though there really are no wrong answers.

Carnivale is the best drama on TV, possibly even better than the Sopranos. HBO's sunday nights truely are MUST SEE TV. Other then that, I never watch HBO... infact all I ever watch on TV is th news, poker, and HBO's series on Sunday nights.

Best CYE eppisodes (in no order)

Crazzy Eyes Killah
Nativity Scene
Taking a hooker to Dodger Stadium (the all time best... watching Lary's dad get stoned is hysterical)

The Dodger Stadium episode is good but it can't be the best episode because it doesn't feature the funniest character on the show, Suzy Greene.

My vote goes to "The Corpse-Sniffing Dog".

Great show. Most of the classic episodes have been mentioned.

One of my favorite scenes: Episode, "The Survivor."

A bunch of people are sitting around a dinner table at Larry's home. Colby Donaldson, one of the stars of the reality t.v. series Survivor, relates what it was like 'roughing it' in the Australian outback. Suddenly, an elderly friend of the family named Solly speaks up (with a thick accent), "Let me tell you something, I was in a concentration camp. You never even suffered one minute in your life compared to what I went through."

The conversation quickly turns into a competition to determine who is the real survivor:

COLBY: We had very little rations, no snacks.

SOLLY: Snacks? What are you talking about "no snacks." We didn't eat sometimes for a week, for a month....

COLBY: Have you ever even SEEN the show?

SOLLY: Did you ever see our show? It was called the Holocaust!

The scene ends with them both shouting back and forth, "I'm a survivor!" "I'm a survivor!"

Actually I think the best part of the Survivor episode is when he says "I don't understand, why don't you get the sponge?"

I think we had a similar thread a while back and the verdict was the last show of CYE, the hour long one with the Producers. That is my vote too. I thought the "you will fail" scene was pretty good.

You're right Johnny... I got the 2nd season DVD set for Christmas, awesome stuff.

"The Shrimp Incident" is my favorite from that season. The whole Cobb Salad thing was hilarious.

4. The episode where he rents the nativity scene

[/ QUOTE ]

Classic. Larry attempts to make up with Cheryl's family for ruining their nativity scene.

CHERYL: Who ate baby Jesus?

LARRY: What?

CHERYL: Who ate baby Jesus? Our nativity scene, somebody ate the baby Jesus.

LARRY: I thought they were animal cookies.

Cheryl: You thought baby Jesus was an animal cookie?

LARRY: I thought he was a monkey.

BECKY: Well I hope you're happy Larry, you swallowed our lord and savior.

p.s. I heard that no writing credits are given for that episode because all the dialog was ad-libbed.

Excellent. But my favorite one from that season is the Halloween episode. I lost it at the end when he has the orchestra playing Wagner out on that guys lawn.

From ep. 1 season 2, where he wants to sell cars:
"I can talk anybody into anything. Except women into sex."
