Well, I'm out in 476th.

Blinds 25/50. I open for 200. Get two cold calls behind me and an EP limper also calls. Flop is T68, two diamonds. Pot is 950 or so. I have 600 left, checked to me, I push. Called again by two behind me. Other guy keeps betting and shows down AA. Oh well..

GL DonButtons and whoever else is still alive

Table 15 "Smallstakes" T5300 just before break. Major suckout early with A7 when I hit straight on the river. Oh well you need to get lucky once in awhile in these things. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

99 left. At T8570. Just busted out of the Stars 100Multi in 18th (paid 18). On button w/ A8s I called a steal attempt from button +1 (had a good read). He flipped JTo and caught J on river. Oh well.

Time to focus. Good luck to those still in.

Out in 89th. Raised from MP w/ AT hoping to pick up blinds since just out of $ at time I bet. Got reraised by aggressive big stack. Hoped he was bullying and didn't want to limp in to $ w/ only 2 big blinds left so called and he flipped KK. No help so end of story. Fortunately some shorter stacks must have busted on same hand so snuck into the money. Good luck all. Hotrod is still alive at T4200 or so.

Hope you see why this is a bad play.

Before making the money, its alright. But once you make the money, the "loose period" begins, and people are not soo tight anymore.

Hey Buttons, I appreciate your critique and admit that I have alot to learn. I agree completely that things loosen up big time once you make the money. To clarify though, when I made the bet attempting to steal the blinds there were 91 or 92 players left so still on the bubble. There were 2 taller stacks to my left who were very tight (7% VPIP or less) and 4 stacks that I had covered or close. I was counting on the tight players to fold as they had been and hoping the smaller stacks would be worried about the bubble effect. Once I got reraised by the tight Big stack I knew I was in trouble but was getting about 3 to 1 odds and if I folded I would only have 2 BBs left. I think its also relevant to mention that my objective was to make the real $ (final 10 or so) so I needed to make a move at some point.

Do you (or others) still think its a bad play?

If I was going to enter the pot to begin with I suppose I should have pushed. Agree?

Which MP was it? If you were MP3 maybe I play the A-10 like you did, but not very often. You're very easily dominated, and if you don't want to just 'limp in the money' I'd take a better hand to gamble with than A-10 if you want to secure a better position for down the line.

Once you made the bet with the A-10, I think it was right to call. Just be wary about playing A-10 period IMO.
