What are you guys doing for New Years?

Curious to see what everyone's doing.

I'm going up to South Lake Tahoe tomorrow.. it's pretty crazy there on New Year's Eve. Going to do alot of drinking, gambling and probably some 7am poker.

Going to be a long drive up.. it's storming in the mountains and traffic will already be heavy.

No work tomorrow. I will be trying to reach my 25,000 hand goal for this month (4 tabling). I have 21,824 as of this post, and a day and a half left to go. Looks like I need to put in about 13 hours. I will probably sleep through the ball drop. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Went there for spring break once, some mexican who worked there broke into our hotel room and stole about $400 from my buddy. The hotel didn't care.

Never going back there.

I'm going to a party at a hotel in Bethesda, Maryland. Cost $150 so it better be worth it! I'm going w/ some friends tho so maybe it will be a good time. I plan on doing my best Tucker Max routine, getting really drunk and insulting every girl I see. Should be fun (for me, not them).

I try to stay home on rookie nights. Hopefully open a bottle of good wine and be asleep before midnight. Maybe get a bottle of champagne. I have never been a huge fan of new years. The best part of it used to be new years day with the good bowl games on. The BCS has ruined the bowl games, so there is nothing on nyd to watch.

me and the girl who sleeps next to me at night NEVER go out for new years, havent been out in 5 years now....but got invited to small gathering with some close friends at this huge house a friend is housesitting in...so it's off to the deep suburbs, will definitely be drinking our traditional moet at midnight, love the stuff /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think New Years Eve is the most overrated holiday. People either don't do anything, or they don't remember anything they did. And if they do something memorable, it's usually way overpriced.

Yeah we are staying in a place called las gaviotas which is like 10 minutes away from papas & beer and all the other places. It seems pretty safe, and going into town has been pretty chill.

Its about 120 homes, rather nice, however it would have been cool if we actually had a key that works in our doors so could lock the place when we leave.

I'm almost wondering why we even payed for the place because we could have just broken in and lived for a week without anyone knowing.

Probably also getting in (thanks, knowing the doorman at every bar in town) to some chintzy expensive dinner and champagne thing at a wine bar with a lot of uppity hot women and wolfing down some tapas and NOT throwing them up in the bathroom.
