Am I the only one in the world who doesn't like this movie?

I have been hearing good things about this movie from everyone, and I saw it for the first time 2 days ago and I thought my friends were going to kill me when I said I didn't like it.

I enjoyed it very much. I think Johnny Depp should have gotten serious Oscar consideration.

No. I just didn't really like the movie and didn't find it even funny at all, was it suppose to be a funny movie?

I did find it funny how incredibly gay Johnny Depp was, I just thought he was a [censored] until I realized he was drunk all the time.

I thought the same thing. I thought he was playing a gay pirate. Why does everyone say it was a great performance? Especially since he wasn't trying to be gay.

It was just o.k. The special effects with the ghosts were just terrible. Even my 2 year old wasn't scared. Pitiful.

He supposedly used Keith Richards as inspiration when he decided how to play jack sparrow. I agree his performance is nowhere near as good as it is in some of his other movies, but i really enjoyed the movie as a whole.

Yeah he was great in blow, just saw that again a few days ago.

I'm still trying to decide whether he is a good actor or just gets put in good movies.

How can you possibly say he was good in Blow? Easily one of the worst movies I have seen in the past 4 years. The movie also featured terrible performances from: Rob Lowe, Pee Wee Herman, and Penelope Cruz.

I also want to add that Johnny Depp is one of the most overrated actors in Hollywood. He is also totally typecasted too. Whenever a producer needs someone to play either a [censored] or an idiot, they call Depp.

I think he turned in solid performances in every good movie he's done, but you are right that my opinion may be influenced by the fact that they were good movies and there were other good performances around him.

I thought he did a great job in blow, which is why i asked salt if he'd seen it. I don't understand someone not liking his performance in that movie.

You know you can like a movie where the main character is an idiot/[censored]/etc

I thought he changed drastically thoughout the movie and was much less of an idiot at the end.
