UTG+1 has been playing pretty tight preflop. Not sure if this is AK/AA/KK (missed his limp re-raise), or if he has something like KQ, QQ, JJ, TT, 22, 44, etc.

Really thought this was either push or fold, but I decided to fold.

Not for me.

From your description of the player, I think you made a good fold. He probably has you outkicked, but just barely. He probably would not fold if you pushed him at this point since he is pot committed and only owes another 900. Again, based on your description, I doubt he has a flush draw.

Yes, he would definitely have to call if I pushed. My only problem with the fold is that it is entirely possible he could make this move with 88-QQ. I nearly pushed since I did have a backdoor spade draw, albeit 9 high.

But since he had shown down very few hands, and was tight preflop, I decided to muck. With the blind sizes and his stack, I wouldn't at all be surprised if he had a monster hand and was planning to limp re-raise preflop.

Now you see why K9 is saved for the Negreanu's of the world. Very vulnerable. If you can play K9 from the big blind with positive expectation, you are way ahead of the game.

It's actually a very close decision. The pot is laying me about 4.5-1 on my call. I'm a 4-1 dog if he has a K and has me out kicked. I'm a huge favorite if he has anything from QQ-55.

I'm getting lazy now, but are you including the extra $900 he could put in the pot on the next card?

I still say it is a good fold. Sometimes you fold winners. it just happens.

No, I did not include that in the 4.5-1 number. If you work that out, it's probably a marginal call. With my read, I think that it turns out this is tough Fold.

Easy fold here with no folding equity. I doubt his reraise is on a flush draw with 2 people left to act behind him. If he wanted to take the pot down on a draw he would push right here instead of sticking half his chips in. I would think KQ as a very likely holding with the possibilty of hitting a set. Just not worth the gamble. You through out a good bet on the flop hoping to take it down, got repopped with minimal damage. If the reraise came from the button then maybe your decision is a bit more difficult. Definitely think this is a good fold.
