I'd like to examine some of these so I can decide if I need to change my recommended "cheap chip" from the 13g "casino" chips: http://www.homepoker.com/images/store/c15white.jpg

I'd like to get free samples from someone, or at least dirt cheap. I'd need at least two chips so I can feel how they adhere to one another.

These are the ones I'm talking about:

Maybe the guy from pokerchipreviews.com will mail you a few?

You can try 5 Star Deal. I have had excellent service from them.

You can buy 1 or 1000 chips. Right now you get 25% off your entire order which makes these chips about $0.20 apiece. If you buy 50 of one color it will cost your about $10 plus shipping.

Right. I don't know what I was thinking actually. $8 chipped, and I got 17 sample chips. There were others I was wanting to see too, like the Bond and the Desert Sands. I'm such a cheapskate. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I tried it with just 1 chip of each color and didn't get the discount. That's why I suggested you go with a roll of 50. That way if you like them you can just add the 50 to your set. Let us know how they are. I got 50 of the 10g Nexgen's and they are much better than the slugged plastic chips I have now.

What are the 10g NexGens? Cannot seem to find that item -- only see 12g Nexgen chips in two different styles. Could you provide a link?

Thanks,
JWP

I don't see them on 5 Stars website anymore. The only problem with them is they had a light spot in the grove where they were injected in the mold. I got some super diamonds and they are nice for just $0.08 apiece.

They are lighter than casino, but have a nice feel and sound.

For those of you who buy the Nexgen & Casino chips from 5stardeal.com, how is the color consistency? i.e. if you order a batch of green, then another batch a few months later, how consistent is the green between the two? I currently own the 13.5g stripe suited chips (http://www.pokerchipmart.com/SpecialBuy_SA500SS135.html), and am quite happy with them mostly for the great feel, except each batch I order is a slightly different color, most significant with the green chips. I suspect that all batch-made cheap chips may have this problem. Anyone noticed it with the Nexgens?

Mine were good.

I ordered samples in early November.

They matched in color to the 650 set I ordered for my Dad in early December, and those matched the 1000 that my wife ordered me just before Christmas.

Somewhat off topic, but I just got a set of those exact same chips for xmas. How are they? I'm debating whether to go ahead and keep them or ebay them off and go with a different low end chip. Any other input would be appreciated.

I'll let you know what I think when I get my samples.

What is also nice about these chips is they have a recessed center so a 1 inch sticker fits in real nice. You can stack your chips without the labels touching each other.

I really wish though they did not have the Diamond marks on the side.
