There is no way that I'm not three-betting and calling that river cap.

There is only 1 possible hand, 9/images/graemlins/club.gif 9/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, that beats you. Never, ever even consider slowing down with the 2nd nuts.

unless he's a complete moron with AA (very unlikely, though i've seen it played this way), the only hands he could possibly have are K9, 99 and 88. given the action, 99 seems the most likely. whether i 3-bet the river or not would be read dependent. i doubt there's huge EV differences either way.

Well, I can see a partial moron playing T7s this way. Bad preflop call, flops an OESD, hits it on the turn and goes nuts. When the board pairs on the river, he thinks at best he's against trips or 2 pair and keeps betting like a retard. Anyway, there's only one way to have 99, so I still 3-bet the river. If he caps and has 99, so be it. But the majority of the time he'll have T7, K9, 88, 89, or even AA. Well played.

i guess i should elaborate.

against most players, this is an easy 3-bet. i wasnt clear about that.

if you know he doesn't cold call preflop with garbage, though, 99 becomes the most likely hand. against a 2+2er i dont think i 3-bet the river. K9 and T7 just aren't cold-calling hands. maybe i'm turning weak-tight though.
