Here are the rules. It's real, it means something, and you know and can clearly explain what it means.

I'll start.

y=mx+b

(Should be familiar....)

I'll bite...

x = xo + vot + 1/2at^2

1+e(i*pi)=0

$=principal*(1+r)^n, compounding interest, very important.

Is this some sort of ploy to trick the huge losers on this site into making themselves known? Because it's working, as some have posted equations.

x = final position
xo = starting position
vot = distance travelled due to beginning velocity
1/2at^2 = distance travelled due to acceleration
t = time elapsed

TimM

Position vs time of an object under constant acceleration (a), given initial position (xo) and initial velocity (vo).

CAPM:

E[Ri] = Rf + Bi(E[Rm] - Rf)

E[Ri] = Expected return of equity i

Rf = Rate of return of a risk free investment (best approximated by government bond)

Bi = the equity's Beta (covariance of equity and market returns divided by variance of equity return)

e[Rm] = Expected rate of return of the market portfolio (a portfolio containing all possible investments - best approximated by index stocks)

This shit (on the most fundamental level) drives the entire financial world.
