I was ripped off at some lame expensive London café which my friends and I were forced to go to.

Tuna and cheese sandwhich on Ciabatta with salad, £5 (yes, pounds).

Salad bar at SuperFresh - lettuce, cucumber, cheese, pepperoni, baby corn, carrots, broccoli, dressing - $2.50

Unfortunately, stuck at a client this week where there is only two options to eat, the Brighton Hot Dog Shop and Burger King. Since I went for the hot dogs yesterday, today I went to B.K. and got the chicken sandwich, fries, 5 piece tenders, and root beer.

Corporate cafeteria. Things like basic sandwhichs are cheap, everything else is sorta normal.

What type of chips?

zokbarjazz
12-28-2004, 03:47 PM
Sour cream & onion. I find they compliment the Italian meats/cheese nicely.

I'm gonna buck the system and tell you what I'm having for lunch before I have it. I'm going to go to Chipotle and have a steak burrito with no beans and with cheese and lettuce. It'll come to $5.76 with tax. Suck it, all you Chipotle haters.

IndieMatty

Dude, Chipotle is good, but its like a 5 on the burrito scale with Taco Bell being a 3 and Ramones in Pacific Beach being a 10.

ThaSaltCracka

When quiznos first opened up here, I had a minor addiction, I ate there almost everyday for about 20 work days. I cannot eat there anymore, but I do recognize the greatness of the Chix Carb.

The Bistro Beef was by far my favorite.

The only downside to going to Chipotle is that it means putting on a pair of pants and (gasp!) going outside. That's offset by the fact that I can give them $6.01 and trade all my pennies in for quarters. Actually, it's more than offset by the fact that I spend the rest of my working day in my shorts working from home. So... I'll admit that I don't have a lot of options when it comes to going to lunch because I work from home and there's not a ton of places in the 'burbs. I still figure I'm ahead in the long run and Chipotle is still awesome.

I had no intention of replying to this thread, but for whatever reason, I feel compelled to post that I, too, had a Chicken Carbonara sub from Quizno's for lunch today.

I hate you. There is no decent reuben in the whole seattle area. Which is odd, because portland has several great places to get reubens.

Quizno's:
I actually like the Philly. But it's like Taco Bell. It's only good if you don't pretend it's Mexican food. The Quizno's philly is only good if you don't pretend it's actually a philly. For some reason I really like that fake cheese sauce stuff they squirt on it.

My favorite lately tho is the Chipotle BBQ Carved Turkey. It's goot. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

A regular size #8 (buffalo chicken) from Charlie's Grilled Subs in Square One's food court. I then grabbed a large fresh squeezed OJ from Freshly Squezzed, also in Square One. Yum.

I made me a sandwich. Roast beef on sourdough. Mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, cheddar cheese, a little salt + pepper, oregano, and a very little bit of italian dressing. Some jalapeno chips on the side. I'm too lazy to estimate the cost, but it was very g00t.

Yeah, I loved those commercials too but I've talked to a lot of people that absolutly hated them. I guess it's one extreme or the other.

I was even at a Quizno's once and someone called to complain about the "latest ad campaign." The 16 year old working really sounded upset when he hung up on them. hehe
