This is from a super qualifier. First get $162 tourny buy in 2nd gets 38. I'm straying from my basic play a little, taking more small advantages early.
I think the call on the flop almost told me that he had the flush. Any ideas what to do on the turn? Is it time to just give it up? Any way i'm ahead? Comments appreciated

I would play this a lot less aggressively. I would just check call this the whole way. Granted you are risking another club hitting. However, I can't see investing a lot of chips in this. Call small bets, but fold if the action gets heavy. It's nice you have a straight, but if you get any action you are probably beaten.

Its a tough spot, but after the call of your raise on the flop, I'd slow down and I would check the turn. This may cause him to bet a smaller amount on the river in hopes of getting a payoff for his flush instead of trying to act like he's bluffing. Either way, after your bet is called on the flop, I don't like your hand.

Its a tough situation without reads, but at the start of the tourney I'd rather not push your hand.

BTW - I doubt that he had the Qc - people like to show off a royal flush. Best guess is 67-89c or a complete bluff. Any reads on him the rest of the tourney?

He didn't really get invovlved in a hand until his jj ran into aa. Seemed like the kind of guy playing his cards, i think i like checking the turn, keep with the mantra that good players get bluffed.
