Give me live poker where players respect a raise and you can move players off the worse hand. But what do I know...I'm just a cat!

Yea, but you are in big trouble at Paradise. I assume your normal Buy in is $500 for that limit. You were stuck $5.00 before that hand. That in itself is proof that the games are getting tougher to beat. If you were the best cat poker player around, you would never have lost $5.00 before getting Aces and some moron gifting you $50.00. In order for you to have claim that there are no fish left, try not to get stuck $5.00 next time, OK?

A cat should instinctively know where the fish are! Plus, there are a few other problems with playing live poker, even if you are the best cat poker player in the world.

1. Getting a human to drive you to the casino.

2. Getting the casino to let you in.(where would a cat keep his ID?)

3. It is much easier for a cat to watch the cards on the screen instead of trying to sneak a peak in the real world with those clumbsy paws!

4. While playing online, the trip to the litter box is much shorter than in the casino.

5. There are the tax implications of winning in a live game; cat toys are not deductible!!!!!!!!

Just my thoughts!

P.S. You have also debunked another popular myth: Aces always get cracked by some yo yo at the table that doesn't know what he is doing. You were silly enough to play that AA against that powerhouse AJo, and you cracked HIS hand. Some cats have balls the size of Volkswagons!

You got heads up action with your aces. In the local casino I can expect 4 or 5 way action. You are fighting uphill here, finding a pigeon at the table where I'll have five and free food to boot.

The only problem with five callers to your aces as opposed to one is that the aces are far less likely to hold against five opponents.

This hand if anything shows why Paradise are beatable. The four extra callers you would get for $10 would make a big mistake in calling you (but remember, you won't get aces every time), but giving away an insane five big bets with AJo, unimproved when it's raised UTG to you!!!

That takes some beating though, doesn't it?

You've never studied this game and it shows. Every extra caller is extra profit. It's just that simple.

.. thrice over with tips, extra rake, and less hands per hour.

I do agree, though, that I love the action when I have the aces. Pair the board low and you almost can't lose.
