Who cares what your brain is screaming? At 12:1 closing the action heads-up on the river with top pair top kicker, you call. Unless, of course, you have a specific and strong read on your lone opponent.

Maybe it sounds weak tight but I'd check this river 3 handed. There are just too many hands that beat you here.
