Finally returned to 3/6 after having to drop down limits for the past 2 months because of over spending + playing out of my bankroll in live games. Anyways info on the villain in the hand
is he is VPIP 89% so total fish but very low aggression rating. My logic was there were 3 possibilities,
he was bluffing (slim imo), he had an Ace and I was drawing to two outs, or he had the 1 card straight and I was drawing dead.

You're okay. You say he's passive, and you raise preflop and yet he's not afraid of that ace. your fine

If he's got a 4, you're not drawing dead. You have 3 outs to chop (which works out to about 1 out).

I'm trying to control my "calling down in a large pot" problem. How big woudl this pot have to be in BB to call down instead of fold here, given your passive read of your opponent?

Good fold. The pot is 6 Bets and you need to invest 2 to win 7 (6 + his river bet). You definately not winning this 30% to justify going forward.
You have two outs for a set and a bit more than one to split the pot. Sometimes you will hit your king and loose to a straight and sometimes you will not hit anything and catch a bluff, so I would say 3 outs is all you got.

You're giving way too much credit for rational thought to someone who sees 90% of their flops.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I know I wasnt technically drawing dead if he had the straight but I would be drawing slim enough where a call would nowhere near justified if i knew he had it.
