This situatuon seems to come up so often in my SNGs as well so I would like to hear others opinions. Personally with 88 I push since you have a big edge over quite a few hands button is min raising here. The only thing is you have NO FE assuming the button is a competent player and wont fold getting those kind of odds. If you were a slightly larger stack i think its an easy fold, but the way the positions are now i say call.

If I had been in the big blind, I would have definitely gone for a StopNGo. But here, I didn't like flat-calling because the BB would be getting such good odds to see a flop. I didn't relish the thought of perhaps having to push into two players.

This is a tricky situation. If you go for the stop 'n go it is more likely the BB calls because of the pot odds. I think I push preflop in order to knock out the BB and get heads up with the min. raiser. I think it is more important to isolate against the min. raise than putting him to a test after the flop.
