weekday loser weekend winner

I have been using statking for the last few months and the most interesting thing that I have found is the different results on weekends vs weekdays...on weekends I average 2 big bets an hour and the weekdays I am a slight loser. I know the sample size is too small, but was wondering if anyone has similar results.

Yeah. I have found that to be the case with me also. Altough I still have a positive gain on the weekedays, I have basicly given up on playing during the week. If I do then I really scout the sites to find the best game.


I attribute the difference to the fact that people who play during the week are usually the regulars, and experienced players. The diehards in other words. It does not make sense to butt heads with those kind of people...the house usually wins.


I do eventually find a game if I look during the week, but many dyas I just pass....Why take a chance to lose money when I can play on the weekend and be pretty assured a win. I have noticed a big difference in my BR by doing it this way.

It is simple. On the weekdays, only hardcore poker fiends like us play, generally, and on the weekends, people like to have fun.

Sure, there are fish on the weekdays (I appear to be one of them lately), but in general the games are tighter and the play more sophisticated. I imagine most players here have experienced better results on the weekend. The same is true in live casinos.


Honestly, if you really want to maximize your win rate, only play at the times when the games are easiest to beat. This may be different for different people depending on their styles, but me personally, I wish I had had the discipline to only play late nights and weekends. It would save me a lot of money.

I agree, late night seems to be the absolute best games to find on Paradise. I attribute this to the chance that people who sit down after dinner to play, and get stuck a wad of cash often end up going tilt into the wee hours of the night trying to win it all back so they can go to bed with a clear conscious.


Although, it is probably tough to be able to stay up for these late nite massacres and still be able to function the next morning at your chosen profession.


For me, the solution was simple. I moved to hawaii. Being 6 hours behind out here, i can sit down after dinner, alert and refreshed and play against the east coast midnight tilt club.


The results have been breathtaking. I have given up tracking BB/hr and just look at end results for the night. It is not unusual to be making $100-150 per two hours at a 3/6 game playing against the midnite club.

Heads up is an even bigger slaughter however....

If you have the stomach to handle playing people that will raise on every card and every round, you can come out nice. This late at night they are merely trying to bulldoze you right over and try to win back a few bucks before its bedtime.
