No reads on this, is this an easy call? I don't see much I beat to a c/r though. What would you do?

At a lower level I would not be surprised to call and win. He has played this a bit weird for a set too. Discretion dictates a fold, but IMHO it is quite close.

I'd almost worry more about the smooth-caller than the BB (though I wouldn't sweat the smooth-caller too much - lots of loose callers early even in the 200s). It's possible he slowplayed a bigger pair, or has a set (or is loose and made two pair) but it screams top pair, 86, 64, 88-TT, etc. (or whichever of those hands he could call 35 with). A7 is a good bet.

Against an unknown, in Level 1 I have no problem going to war here. Actually, the absence of a flush draw makes the call even better IMO. Sometimes against even a drawing hand like a flush draw/overcard, JJ ain't much of a favorite.

I wouldn't be too worried about the caller, he's a very loose guy, glennplate (based on my notes), and he will call with any draw in this case.

Now preflop, he called a 50 bet. Which you have to put on so some type of marginal hand. You can limit out JJ or higher (king would most likely reraise in this case), and the flop is safe as it has no high cards.

I would call this bet, because too many people over value hands like A7, open ended draws, and even 88 or 99 in this case.

Now the only hand I see him check raising soo much with, is a hand like 88 to TT. He doesnt want to see another big card to kill his action, and he would like to pick up a decent pot. You still have 5 outs to beat a two pair, which is prob. your worst case scenario.

I already went over this hand with him before, but thats basically what I said before he gave me the results.
