Mickey Sasser

For those that don't know, Mickey Sasser was a Major League catcher for the mets in the early nineties I think. I've heard multiple times now that his career was cut short because he couldn't throw the ball back to the pitcher with any velocity eventhough he had a canon throwing to second base. Does anyone know, why he had this mental block?

Was it a type of OCD or anxiety disorder? I can see the Steve Sax and Chuck Knoblach problems, but I never could understand Sassers. I'm very curious if anyone knows anything.

His name was Mackey Sasser, not Mickey....don't know about his issues.
