UTG is a LAG (45/17) and the player to my left is the king of the loose passives to the tune of calling big action on the flop and turn to fold to a single river bet. A lot.

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (9 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with K/images/graemlins/spade.gif, J/images/graemlins/spade.gif. CO posts a blind of $3.
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, MP3 calls, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, BB calls, <font color="#CC3333">UTG 3-bets</font>, UTG+1 folds, <font color="#CC3333">Hero caps</font>...

Yeah?

Looks fine.

Edit: Would you 3-bet a UTG raise from LAG?

I'm looking into my crystal ball and I see....Aces UTG! Whether or not you cap here has a lot to do with what you think the players that are already in for two bets will do. At this point you want them in because you probably will need better than aces to take the pot and your flush draw may be offering the greatest potential. If you think they will call two more bets then you may as well cap.

I think both capping and calling is fine and it will depend on how often you think you can fold the others.

The UTG limp reraise, even from donkish LAGs, is way more likely to be AA/KK then the rando LRR in LMP. I think I'd just call but I would like to hear other opinions.

Are we gonna have this argument again??? /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Ummm...why cap? Do you honestly think you are ahead? I mean, I certainly don't give him credit for AA-QQ, but....there ain't much you're ahead of unless he's *really* donking it up.

I'm ahead of an awful lot a large percent of the time, and there are 2 players behind me, one of whom could be convinced to fold.

A 47 VPIP, 17 PFR limp-reraises UTG and you give him credit?

Woah, didn't see the stats. Okay, I cap it. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 1 fold, Hero raises, MP3 calls, 3 folds, BB calls, UTG 3-bets, UTG+1 folds, Hero caps...

Yeah?

The raisin Asian strikes again. I just call and look to flop some part of this board pretty hard. Capping has no value unless this guy is a total retard.

Trix hit on one of the two real reasons for capping. One, folding out the BB is great, even though I'm like 95% sure MP3 isn't. He called 1 extra SB from the BB, which could be anything, so it's not much of a stretch for him to fold for 2 more.

Second, can you guys read? A 47/17 limp reraises UTG. That is some trash, like 6 /images/graemlins/spade.gif7 /images/graemlins/spade.gif, like always. That's what he had.

Seems right to me. Yet further evidence of the importance of good reads.
