after the final bet is called two people showdown, they both tie the pot with the same straight.when the pot is split, the person closest to the left of the dealer button
gets the extra chip?? DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY- LEFT OF THE DEALER BUTTON GETS THE XTRA CHIP?? LOGIC BEHIND THIS RULE?
same situation-only bb and small blind heads up -they tie pot-who gets the extra chip now? the small blind?

The person who is in the worst position at the table, farthest from the button, gets the extra chip.

I would believe that the logic behind this is that if two players tied for the high hand, the one who had to act first has more to lose than one who acts later in the betting rounds.

I also don't think this is the proper forum for this post. Try B&M Cardrooms.
