After paying my dues for a year in the low limit games,I've been playing consistent, winning, 10-20 - 20-40 B&M games for 7 months now. My question to you internet vets. is; do you feel that with the turn online poker has taken and the speed at which it is played makes it far more profitable than B&M. I would assume that since you play many more hands avg., and can play multi-tables that it would be easier to play a more disciplined game. Why ever go to the casino again ??? Then again, I've never played a single hand online. I don't want to waste my time leaving B&M if the diff. doesn't warrant. Any thoughts ?

My experience is that LL games in B&M tend to be better than at the same level online. This is especially true at 3/6 and 4/8. I suspect the reverse is true at 15/30 and 20/40, except in places like California.

One reason is that it's a major PITA to rebuy online, so larger LL games are populated by those who beat the micros and moved up. Also, to a LL player, digits on the screen have a lot more psychological impact than $1 chips you throw around in a cardroom.

I cannot account for the difference in 15/30-ish games, as I don't play at that level online (or even B&M, currently).

15/30 live is easier than 15/30 online.

same goes for lower limits

Yes, online is far more profitable. Assuming you 4-table, you'll get 6 to 7 times more hands in an hour online than at B&M. There's no question that you'll make more money online.

Online is much more profitable as you do see 6-7 times more hands per hour. The players are better but still easily beatable. Start with one table and go from there.

B&M players are worse in almost every corresponsding limit I've played.

So you have the faster pace (much faster it seems) of online coupled with better players. At the casino I'm not always the best player at the table, but I make good decisions and manage to make poker profitable for me. The level of play at B&M seems to be the only reason to stay landbased. Anyone here for playing live ?
