Thought this might be an interesting discussion.

What do you think all of us 2+2ers pay out in rake per year?

What got me thinking about this was the fact that I have dished out roughly 9,000 in rake alone (mostly from tournament play), and I am not a high stakes player, nor did I play full time for most of the year.

I am going to throw out the first number, but I think it is really low. Please flame me and say higher or lower, with reason if you have it.

My estimated 2+2 rake for 2004: 5,000,000.

EDIT:

For those of you who first read this, it did say 50,000,000, but that was a typo... supposed to be 5 mil.

I'm more interested to know how much in total 2+2ers have won from online poker this year.

About your rake figure, it's more than $50m, a lot more.

I alone will pay over $100,000 in rake this year (yes, it boggles the mind!)...as will just about anybody who plays more or less full-time. I'd estimate over 100 Mil.

Hey - my name is Mike and I am from Ohio, who do I talk to about this? I just checked PT and it says I have paid $16,906 and I play about 1/4 of the time at sites that aren't PT supported.

Look at this poll

Then try to estimate
- how many winning 2+2ers doesn't voted;
- how players are distributed between limits;
- what percent is going to rake at each limit.
Easy.
