How often do you see flop when not in your blinds ?

How often should one see flop when not in the blinds in a full game - do you think ?

Won't tell you my flop %. It could be used against me 8:)

How often you should see the flop (how loose you play) is completely dependant on one variable. That is, how well you play after the flop. If you make too many laydowns, you should see about 20%. If you make excellent plays and can lay down a strong hand when necessary, you probably should see about 25-30%.

Comments?

This all assumes you are a winning player. If this is not the case, you should see 0% of all flops.

It might be difficult for a losing player to improve his game if he doesn't play any hands.

According to Bob Ciaffone the right number is 15 %.

If you are in a game where you are making money by seeing the flop 25-30 % of the time - the game is so good that he wants you to call him.

Ciaffone has a book on Internet poker? Didn't know that, I would love to read it.

Bob is talking about hands outside of the blinds, and Adam, I presume, is referring to all hands. Both are right.

In 200 hours of +1.5 BB/hour 1 table 3-6 at PP, I see 19% of flops (while not in the blinds, of course). A lot of times, I think I have to tighten up to plug some leaks in my game, but sometimes, I actually should loosen up. I think it depends on game condition and who you're against mostly.

In addition, one could be a losing money player but lose more by consistently folding every blind hand than they would by playing their normal game.
