View Full Version : Where's the action?

I'm sure there are a lot of specialists here. I am more of an internet road gambler. I search for "sleeper" games. You try all the sites looking for an established game of non-supertough regulars, some newbie drop-ins and some out-right manics, which for some reason no longer play paradise.

On Paradise I play $10-20 to $20-40 Hold'em, less of the $20-40 because of the quality of the regulars, which is (tough) squarded. Heads-up $3-6 and $5-10 Hold'em, quitting after about 20 minutes anyone I don't have a clear advanage over. $30-$100 one table tournaments, leaning towards the former. Stud 8/better $10-20, only if some other unfortunate player has been caught in this web before me.

True poker $10-20, best $10-20 on the 'net, bar none.

Partypoker's low limit side action to their million dollar tournament currently has pretty soft games, max $5-10, a couple hold'ems($120 avg. common), a $5-10 omaha 8/better and some $5-10 8/better stud.

Pot limit hold'em, CCC is king with 2-3 games. Limits are mostly $1-2 blind, which creeped up from 25 cent blind. They put money on the table, $100 (Min. buy-in) to about $600, have seen someone with $3,200 on the table and many +$1000.

Poker Stars is a new one in beta testing that has very good software. This is a site to watch when they go to real money.

I collect hand histories, I'm sorry I can help myself, I'm in therapy for it and taking drugs. Pokerstat is a must, it seems. They only do it for PP, but really takes a look into the games your playing and the massive amount of data to go through to find treads of players you have only played with a few times.

I see many of the same PLAYERS in my travels. At first whenever I don't see the regulars, I usually play with, I feel good, finally a soft game then I start to wonder what game they might be in.

Sorry for the long post

Have a nice day.

I want to know one thing..........

How can you be successful playing on all these sites?

Here's the thing..... I understand that your ability for game selection- must be tremendous......

but-- I can't imagine building up a bankroll on all those sites. I think one of the things which makes winning online so difficult-- is not having sufficient funds to play-- in a lot of cases.

When i buy-in for $500 at TRUE POKER for example...... its real hard for me- to play $3-$6 to build up a bankroll- when i can be spending my time making more per hour at paradise.

This is the MAIN reason- why i dont even look to play anywhere else anymore.

How do you do it?

Send in bank drafts? Actually take the time to build up bankrolls on each site?

What am I reading? Is this a paid advertisement?

I dislike buying in. I'm more a build a bankroll and they will come sorta player. If money runs low at a site, I give it a break, unless the games are great.

Paradise is where I try to keep the most, right now it is the smallest($1). Most sites I like to have about $1,000, with the site I'm currently playing the most, about 200 BB.

With Firepay it is getting easier to move stuff around.

Building a bankroll can be a pain in the butt, but it teaches you important lessons about the players at a site.

If you spread your play around then players don't always know where to put you as far as playing style. If you work at getting good player profiles right from the start then when you return to a site after a break you will have a edge from being better informed.

If I was beating PP, in the limits I play, everyday, I would never leave. I find the red chip action tough to beat during the week.

So, I search for an easier game elsewhere.

Hey MS Sunshine

I used to play with you occasionally over at Planet. Out of curiosity, why did you completely quit playing there?
