OMG, I have honestly never heard of any of the albums mentioned so far. I live in my own little world of metal, I guess.

I'll go with the Meshuggah "I" EP.

Just beat me to it. I've got tickets to see them Feb. 2

Haha, cool. My friends are attempting to convince me to go to the Feb. 1 show at the Bowery Ballroom, although that requires six hours of driving on that day if I'm not gonna miss any school. WHEE. But I'll probably end up going.

yes, there are people who appreciate some of the benefits that CDs offer and/or live in a country where CDs aren't ridonkulously over-priced...

You're missing out! I remember listening to that cd nonstop every day in HS. (not that that was long ago lol). I believe that you live somewhere in the Seattle area, have you ever seen them live? Saw them last year at the Paramount, it was a very good show from what I remember. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif Incidentally I also recommend listening to MM while playing poker, seems to keep me off-tilt anyways.

Probably it's cos I first heard it through DJ Dangermouse's Grey Album, which must have come out very shortly after the Black Album; I assumed it must have been around for a while for him to mess that much with it. Have you heard it? It's basically the rapping from the Black Album played over remixed excerpts from the Beatle's White Album. It's pretty damn good.

Not a very good year for popular music it seems...

And Kanye West, Outkast came out last year (i think someone mentioned it, but I'm being a nit)
