Here is a problem I have with NL cash games and tournys.
I know I have the winning hand but want to make sure I get paid for it so I bet an amount I am sure will likely get called.
On the other hand I see others getting there all ins called, is it better to go for their whole stack or be satisfied with 1/4-1/2 of their stack?

Go all-in with 8 high a few times. You'll get more action.

Hey,
I mostly play limit but I think you have to let the size of the pot dictate your move here. If it's a pot that a decent size I go all -in because players often call with TpTk and other second best hands thinking you're trying to steal a large pot. If it's a meium or small size pot I try to bet for value and I hope the other guy raises so I can throw in either an allin or other hefty re-raise.
Good luck,
Matt

I hate to use a cliche - but it is very table and player dependant.
are you playing against a loose guy who is more likely to call? or tight players who will fold - even if they think they have the best of it.
another poster also said it depends on the action before your all in, but pushing big into a small pot doesn't usually get a lot of calls.
