central Virginia games

Seeking players and games in central Virginia area. .25-.50 to 10-20.

I'm living in the Midlothian area, and would be interested in playing low limit hold'em. Please email me at muircw@mail1.vcu.edu

Several fall games starting up in the Charlottesville-Lynchburg area, but the problem is:


1.) Convencing the hosts to invite players no one knows except over the internet.


2.) Players are seated on a first come basis. These are one table home games and once full a seat may not open up all night. Not many low limit players want to drive 50-100 miles without shurer prospects.


Any helpful ideas ?

1) Allow only one or two "newbies" per session. They will get acclimated to the game, and the game will grow slowly but surely.

2) Require an RSVP, with a couple of alternates. If you RSVP and don't show up, you are penalized in some manner.
