Help me find the name of a particular book

The book is about a man who goes into the bush and lives there for about 37 years and comes out when he is 86 years old.

Not sure if its fiction or non.

I'm pretty sure this isn't the book you're looking for, but your description for some reason reminded me of The Palm Wine Drinkard. It's been many years since I read that so I don't even really remember what it's about totally, so I wouldn't be surprised if it has absolutely nothing to do with what you described. It's just the first thing that popped into my mind.
