Signitures?

I really do not see why people insist on adding their little mark at the bottom of their posts. It never really got to me untill i saw one with one line and at the end they put their screen name or initial to sort of copywrite it or something (if i knew i wouldn't be posting this). But after i noticed that first one, im noticing tons of others, and its driving me nuts. Do most people think it is absolutely pointless, and slightly redundant considering its up top on every post?

ive almost always ended any email or message with "peace, john nickle" just something i do. Probably has to do with the form letters they used to drill into me in elementary school. Also, i see no reason not to since my screenname is different from my real name. if it drives you crazy, its time to lay off the amphetemines.
