Can someone explain to me what the Internet Series of Poker is in like 4 sentences or less? There are like 80 long threads and even an entirely new forum dedicated to this, and I still have no idea what it is. If you're gonna just link me to another thread, that's cool, but I'm not gonna read it as it's probably way too long.

Granny and Jek are setting up the ISOP. Supposed to be a yearlong tour consisting of like 8 events with $1000 buy ins, each event at a different site. The winner, in addition to winning $$, gets a free buy in to the $5000 championship. Each site will also offer many satellites to get into the big events for $10, $20, $50 etc. Their goal is to have $1,000,000 purses for some of the events, with big name players.

Basically a WPT that takes place on various sites culminating in a championship. You can either buy-in or win your way though a satelite.
