its been really cold here the last couple of days, -25C or
-13F. i was wondering if its better to let the car stand idle to heat up or if i should be driving it. ive heard people say both ways. my car is old and is on its last lifeline

let it warm up. Also, be sure to not let your gas tank go below a 1/4 full.

Yeah, I'd let it warm up. That's damn cold.

warming up is good. the worst thing to do is make a short trip with the car and turn it off. the main reason is that you want the car to be running for at least 15 minutes before you shut it off so that the alternator can fully charge the battery
