BB is loose passive

Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed)

Preflop: Guido is Button with 8/images/graemlins/spade.gif, K/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
3 folds, Guido raises, 1 fold, BB calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) 3/images/graemlins/spade.gif, T/images/graemlins/spade.gif, A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (2 players)
BB bets, Guido folds.

Standard?

I wish I was better in this game /images/graemlins/frown.gif Even after more than a 100K I still suck...

Thanks,

Guido

IŽd fold even if he was unknown, but you are saying that he is loose-passive, isnt it even easier then ?

Yeah, i always feel really weak in these spots, where I"m on a steal with Kx, or Qx and the BB bets into me on an A high flop.
I would certainly fold here unless BB is ultra-Aggro.

If the T /images/graemlins/spade.gif were say a 7 /images/graemlins/heart.gif, would that change this to a call?? If it were a 7 I would probably call vs. an unknown, but fold if I knew the BB to be passive... is this still too loose a call??

Sometimes I think I'm a good player but after two 250BB downswings in less than 70K hands I'm only a 0.75BB/100 hands winner at 10/20. When I see that I sometimes have a hard time trusting myself. I don't see many interesting hands. I guess this wasn't one either. Sorry to bother you guys.

Thanks,

Guido

Please keep posting hands these kinds of hands. They may not be a super sexy but discussions on common situations like this are important and often overlooked.

You should probably be posting more, I see you posted a lot more a while back but lately not very often.

Very true, I just don't see any interesting situations, I wish I saw more of them. I don't think I play bad, just a lot of bad luck. Obviously there are a few things I have to improve. But sometimes I start wondering if everybody has that much bad luck or that I just play bad. Yesterday for example I lost with set over set 2 times. With KK against AA 2 times. With a flopped set against a straight or flush 5 times. I had AJ against QJ on a JJxxQ board, not much you can do about that. It sucks and you can't do much about it but I think I got more than my fair share in bad luck since I started 6-max. Anyway I will keep trying to find some interesting hands to become a better player.

Thanks,

Guido

I agree, hands like these are 10 times more helpful than most others. These situations happen quite often, and sometimes after a bad run, you forget how to play them correctly.
