CROSS-POSTED FROM BOOKS/SOFTWARE:

Excuse me if this has been asked before but I'm just getting serious about using PT to help my game...

I've got more than 5000 hands at each of 3 different levels (1/2; 2/4; 3/6). Do you autorate and keep notes at just your current level of playing or do you autorate across all levels?? Would somebody's game be different enough from say 1/2 to 2/4 to give you an incorrect rating if you merged the data?? Thanks...

Between limits (1/2 and 2/4 for example), I think combining stats is fine. The only thing you need to be careful of is if you play any 6-max. Stats from shorthanded games will skew your data.

I personally have 2/4 and 3/6 merged and haven't found a problem with any of the reads/notes.

Thanks for the o.k. on merging limits! If nothing else it allowed me to move from Eagle (3/6) to Moneybags (2/4 & 3/6). Need to work more on 3/6 aggression obviously...

It might be a good idea to separate your 2/4 and 3/6 stats. The 3/6 game has a 1/3 blind structure, which leads to fewer SB completions and lower VP$IP numbers.
