Hey,

I got a few questions about spread limit.

Is there a legitimate online site that has these games?

Is this a common type of game in the casinos? It is the only type of stud game near me. I enjoy it, and I am quite certain I am better than most of the other players I have played against.

What are the bankroll requirements for this? I've seen 300 BB for limit. So would this mean for 1-5 spread limit I would need 1500? I'm a cheap bastage so I play comfortably with 200 BB online. I actually feel comfortable in stud playing with 150 BB, but then again this isn't my living and won't be (at least for a very long time).

Is there any good literature out on spread limit games?

thanks,

Melch

SCSFAP has a section on spread limits and "Roy West's 7Card Stud 42 lessons" addresses it fairly throughly.

a no ante variation of this game you should be able to get by with 150 BB if you play tightly enough.

to win at this level you must have the patience of a saint and the disposition of a cat burgler. It helps to be somewhat tight fisted in the no ante version. big live over cards with good kickers.

in the <$.25 ante version you can play somewhat snug good live cards fair kickers will do here. ratty pairs dead dead kickers should be tossed. faily solid starts should be almost exclusive

in the >$.25 version you can open her up pretty good and play a wide variety of speculative hands.
