I'm trying to fund a friend's neteller account. What would be the best way to go about this? It's about $5000 and they will be returning the money to me in a month or so.

Can I hook their neteller account to a new bank account of mine? I know I can't use the one I'm already using for my neteller account.

I don't want to give them money to deposit in their bank account and then put into their neteller because of tax issues for them with 5k being taken in and out of their bank account.

I don't want to use the neteller transfer between members because the 1.9% will take out $100 each time.

Is there a merchant I can do it through?? IE, they make a party account, I transfer 5k to their party account and they withdraw it through that?

I believe through party you can withdraw directly to thier neteller account as my girlfriend withdrew from her party account to my neteller account because she didn't want to set one up.

You do know that Party has to pay fees when you add money to your account and when they cash out to Neteller.

Unless the money is going into your friends Party account, why not make the transfer into whatever site he is going to play at?

you can't hook your bank account to his neteller, dont try. the bank account must match the neteller account holder. as another poster stated the sites dont take kindly to be used as banks, because they have transaction costs, so if he were to create an account where he isnt gonna play just for the transfer they may not allow it. What site are you funding him for, the party skins have transfer limits in the neighborhood of $500 a month. I would think 1.9% at neteller is your best option.

So I could deposit 5k into my party account using my neteller account then withdraw that into his neteller account?

Deposit into stars and transfer there.

No fees.

This is dangerous, they may block the transfer. Why don't you do a wire transfer to your friend's bank account (or send him a check). The wire transfer only cost $30.

Here is what you need to do:

1) Send him the money as a check.
2) Tell him that he will have to deal with whatever the pending tax issues that arise.

You should NOT try to do this in even a SLIGHTY round-a-bout or shady way. Just do it straight up.

You are spotting your friend $5000. He can eat a few bucks for the convenience. I know that I for one would INSIST on this if I were the friend receiving the money.

I would want it to be as on the level and hassle free for the lender as possible.

PS - I am not making any accusations, but if this person that is borrowing the money is the same person as the one that is lending the money (if you know what I mean) -- then be VERY careful.

I think I do know what you mean. Very perceptive. Then you would know if things go well my friend would probably be cashing out upwards of 15k to his bank account and he would not keep most of that. How would he explain that to the taxman?
