I have had like 8 losing sessions in a row. I have been analyzing my game and I feel it is pretty tight. This is the type of **** that seems to get me every time. What do I do?

You just deal I guess. You were right to raise the flop for value and the river screwed you. It happens.

Don't play 98s with only 1 caller in front of you? /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Everyone has the downswings. Play through it, constantly evaluate your game, and try to adapt to the situations. Best I can do for a general answer to a general question.

I play 89s from MP with two limpers in a loose game. One is iffy but two is fine in my book.

search the forums for downswings/vairance. it happens, cards go cold, sometimes for 100s of BBS or 1000s of hands at a time. it sucks, but its reality. just tell yourself that in the wrong run, if you're a winning player, you'll come out ahead. if you're getting frustrated, it may be best to take a break - tilting/playing less than optimally will only make it snowball.
good luck, chin up,
steve

98s is fine in LP, especially if the limper is a weak player and you also like it if the game is passive. You have suitedness, connectedness, and low-medium high card strength.

You would certainly limp with JTs, probably with T9s, and 98s is fine with position, especially in a passive game.
