i have red 66 and check after 2 limpers and a small blind completion.

the flop is 235 with 2 diamonds.

sb checks, i bet, mp raises, folded to me and i 3bet, he calls.

turn is an offsuit king. i bet and he raises, i call?

river is a black nine and i check-fold.

I think you're definitely winning this hand enough to call on the river. I would play A5 just like he did. That alone doesn't give you enough of a chance, but the possibiliy that he is just flat bluffing on a garbage flop does.

I guess so, but you need to be pretty sure he wouldn't bluff at the king there getting 10 to 1 on the river. On the flop, any ace has a gutshot and there is a possible flush draw. Neither of those draws hit, so that is certainly a factor in favor of a call.

And of course, if you fold in this manner very often you are going to end up seeing a lot of bluffs. If this guy had seen you make a couple river folds, you need to call this one.

But I call too much in general so discount my remarks accordingly. /images/graemlins/grin.gif
