I was playin in a nl ring game last nite. Blinds were .25/.50. I built my bankroll up to 50 from 10 dollars. I get QTs in the big blind... 3 people limp and i raise to $2.50. Flop comes down QT6... I bet $3 and 1 guy raises to $6... everyone else folds and i call. turn is a Q giving me a fullhouse Queens full.... I go all in $50 total..and he quickly calls...
He turns over pocket 66 giving him 6 full...
River is a 6 giving him 4 of a kind.

The only real surprise here is the 5x raise with QT.

What makes my preflop bet so bad? I was adjusting to the table and i thought most people would fold to that raise. It worked 2 other times and i made the call.

I'm not the one to say if it's bad or not, but I was surprised by it:)

This post is worthless, and it adds no value to the forum.

Karma is about as real as the tooth fairy or jesus.

better than you think apparently. i read this post yesterday, said "wow, that sucks, but it happens" and then had pretty much the same thing happen to me about 2 hours later, runner runner 3's to give 4 of a kind vs. my nut straight.

Bad beat stories unwelcome. 2 hands of mine last night.

My TT vs AQ
Pre-flop me 57-42%.
Flop AKT. Me 84-15%.
Turn AKTK. Me 91-9%.
River AKTKK. Me 0%

Me AKo vs AKo all-in preflop 50-50%
I lose to a flush.

As much as you want to share it, no one wants to hear it.

WTF is this??? it is quite clear from the title of the post that it was a bad beat. if you don't want to read it, don't click on the mutherXXXXer, right?

i personally enjoy the bad beat posts, mostly for the funny responses they always garner. i think you do too, or were just searching for someone else's post you could hi-jack with your own pathetic tale, hoping noone would call you out.

also, you are not the f'ing post policeman.

cheers! /images/graemlins/shocked.gif

there are now 300 viewers of this obvious bad-beat story. yet, there are those who constantly claim to be appalled by them. i say people like to read'em, as i do. maybe there should be an entire forumn for nothing but bad-beats.

hey, i got a good one...not poker related, as this was before i got into playing poker. here goes:

me and 3 buddies at a riverboat gaming establishment in Indiana(known from the moment of this beat, and for all times, as "the devil's boat". we were playing craps for several hours, having loads of fun, but losing the proverbial shirts off our backs. we decided to wrap it up, and go have a nice dinner.

so, myself, and one of the other friends(the 3rd was flat broke) decided on our way out, to play one round of roullette. i placed $50 on black, he on red. whoever won would buy dinner/drinks for all 3 of us. stinking ball lands on.....yep, GREEN!

so, we calmly decided to play one more. this time for $100. same deal. the stinking ball landed on GREEEEEEN again! 2 rolls in a row!

oh, and to top it off, when we went to get a cab, we missed the cutoff time by like 10 minutes to catch one. the cab company apparently doesn't run past 2:00 AM there. so, we had to shell out like $150 for a friggin' LIMO!

good times!

cheers!
