I hear that there is a flat mode and another mode, and that one is easier to read. I find that mine just switched sometimes, depending on which posts I read.

Right now most of them are in this hierarchical setup, where posts branch out and stuff, and it is kind of hard to follow them. I find myself having to put my mouse on the icon to the left of the post subject and scroll up to find out who is responding to who. Maybe I'm just confused.

Thanks.

Go to "My Home" -> "Display preferences.." -> "Default display mode", change to "Flat", (only works when you're logged in).

While you're there, I suggest changing "Total parent posts" to 50, "Total posts to show" to 99, "Default View" to Collapsed, and time offset (3rd option) to match your timezone.

Thanks, I'll dot hat. I changed all except collapsed(which was already set for me) and time zone(already set to EST where I am as well).

Thanks again.
