Okay for someone who doesn't throw parties very often what do I need to get? I have about four hours to get stuff. I won't be back for awhile so post away and thanks much.

Party is for about twenty young persons, 24-30. Considerably more women than men.

lots of plastic cups, lots of alcohol and juices and sodas for mixers.

Ice as well.

Garbage bags

Don't waste money for food unless you think this will be more subdued party.

spinach dip in a hollowed out circular loaf of bread is a good dip.

hollow out the bread, dump the spinach dip in there, then heat it in the oven til the top of the bread is golden brown.

use the bread you pull out for the dipping utensils.

for girls:
those sickeningly sweet smirnoff drinks.

Your main essential for your party is alcohol:

-kegs (# varies on how many partygoers you suspect
-hunch punch, also known as jungle juice. Basically just mix some grain alcohol in a cooler with lots of sugar and koolaid. Females love this stuff and it will get them rowdy.
-jello shooters. not my favorite but they always seem to go quick.
-and if you want buy some backup alcohol supplies (an extra case of beer or some smirnoff ice thingies for those picky drinkers)

supplies:

-deck of cards. This is essential. Almost all drinking games invlove cards so you must have them. But being a poker player as you are, I'm sure you have some lying around.
-loud stereo. If you don't have this, run to Best Buy and blow some of your roll on it.
-many, many plastic cups. Trust me, you don't want to run out.
-condoms
-clean sheets
-and a few bottles of whip cream.

and you are set

beer, booze, cooler, cups, papertowels, ice(plenty of), stir stix or spoons, ash trays, trash bags, depending on the drinks---lemons, limes, tonic, pop, juice, salt, sugar, red bull, soda water, little umbrellas, pickels, celery, celery salt, hot sause, olives, cherries

probably some type of chips-pretzels and some bowls for them maybe some after dinner mints

not sure if there is food or not -- plates, silverware

i want to party - i wish i wasnt at work
