I feel lousy just calling there, and probably just a little spooked 'cause I got shown AA on a similar hand (from a different player) earlier. My read was "pathetic attempt to steal pot with AK" but I could pull the trigger on it (and if that's my read, is there any point to raising?).

I really dont think raising is gonna be correct there very often. I'd just call as well.

if it was HU I'd pop it. But in this case I'd give the SB a chance at an overcall since hes seemed to like his hand well enough to call the whole way. Also it seems more likely (at least in my experience) that if you raised HU and he had AK he still calls your raise, but multiway hes likely to fold.
