Assuming evil is a personification, what developments/inventions made evil clap its hands with glee the loudest?
If other, please explain

None of the above, write in for television.
Oh, and I'm not sure a person should count as an invention. You list KARL MARX??? Someone who wrote some philosophy that others took and only roughly followed. Really, if you are going to list a person list Hitler or Stalin or someone like that. I mean would you list Jesus because his followers started numerous religous wars (and NO I am not saying Marx is some prophet, or any thing about him, other than all he did was write down his philosophy.)
Other) Liberals? Cyrus? Ivory Tower Whack Jobs? Fire? Moveable Type? The internet? Ann Coulter?
An almost serious canidate: Religion. Probably caused more evil on this planet than anything else. Including the invention of 'evil'. Do-Gooders comes a close second and is link to the Religion canidate (Godism).

I had to vote electromagnetism. I now have a degree in physics and that class was insanely hard. I still got handmarks on my ankles from it.

I can't believe 28% of people actually voted for Karl Marx, someone who endeavoured to put a stop to the exploitation of the worker, was in favour of freedom of expression (he himself had to move countries due to his writings) and who critiqued religion as a tool of oppression.
Explain yourselves.

It was a woman that brought sin in to our world. So I guess that's a good place to start.

And did you know that, as he declared himself, he was not a Marxist?

Nobody mentioned the Holocaust.
If Karl Marx and Wall Street are acceptable answers, the Holocaust must be a valid response.
