I thought Party was regularly breaking 60k.
Haven't they recently cracked the 70k mark?? Thought I saw this somewhere.
Note - I really haven't been paying that much attention so it's possible that 60k+ really IS a ton for a Weds eve and I just don't know what the hell I'm talking about.

I have seen many T.V. commercials lately. I think that is some of it.

I remember people flipping about 30K, then 40K not long ago.. now 60 - I don't see the end any time soon I do however see 100,000 in a year's time... Right about now after next year's wsop airing maybe every slightly more.
Gonna be interesting...

Well with a 57 pound head . . .
Pretty lame post on my part actually, but I was a tad surprised when I opened Party tonight. I've been "slummin" it of late over at Paradise and was pretty sure that Tues,Weds etc a couple of weeks ago were in the 40-45,000 range.
I likes what I sees though.

Alot of it is probably the players who wait for the bad beat jackpot to get big before playing casually.. Guarantee it is a good portion of their 'new' business ...

I first played the bad beat tables when they first came out for a few hundred hands, then I did the math and said f*ck it.

We are talking about the casual players, the gamblers, the people that pay you all. The last 2 1/2 days me included, tonight is starting to turn back around thank god.
The idea of playing one hand of 2/4 hold'em and winning $100,000.00 is AWFUL damn appealing to the average joe and much more feasible than winning first place in a huge on-line tourney that takes 7-8 1/2 hours.
I do think it has helped party in a pretty big way. The step tournaments, same concept. One thing I have NEVER denied... Party has some brilliant people on their marketing team.
"Supply the American dream"
That's what they are doing folks, and a good job at it..
ONE 2/4 hand into $100,000.00
One sub $30 tournament entry parlayed into a $200 + $15 paying out $60,000.00
One $11.00 entry five tournaments later you have $9,000.00!
When I say marketing I mean 'site development' not 'T.V. commercials'

You're right.
Actually the Party Poker TV commercials I've seen are well done in my opinion.
