I already ordered mine, but I was wondering if anyone has any gimmicks to make it cheaper:

$799 - $200 (25% off from the Dellf game)- $45 (biggest stackable coupon I could find - $12 (2% off for opening line of credit) + free shipping = $543 plus tax.

The monitor's been shipped. Anything I can do to make it even cheaper?

Write it off on your taxes.

Fack, we canadians are getting ripped off big time here in canada from dell. Here it's $999 plus I'll have to pay another 15% tax on it, what a rip!!!! considering that 1 Canadian dollar is worth 81 cents US, we're getting screwed.

Consider yourself lucky. They're currently 'on offer' in the UK at only £528 which, at current rates, is still around the US$1,000 mark.

Bump one time.

No way to make this cheaper... maybe an education discount or something?

What is it exactly you did to get the $200 off? The Dellf Game? What is that?

Consider yourself lucky <550 is GREAT. I suck at the dellf game and have not been doing well. I'm thinking of just upgrading to the 2001fp when I mbuy my new system in a week or so. I'lll use a 20% off Dellf coupon for the whole thing and get a pretty good deal.

Anyone have any thoughts?

It's a game where you enter b.s. e-mail addresses until you get a 25% off accessories. Perhaps someone could post the link (I don't have it anymore).

Maybe someone can help me out here. If they're charging you $1k for something us Yanks can get for $543, what is to stop you from going to the US site and ordering it there, then having them ship to the UK? Excuse my ignorance here, I'm sure I'm missing something obvious.

The US site may not ship internationally since they have to certain import / export tax and regulations.

Hells yeah.

I just came home to the monitor and an e-mail from Dell saying "we can't retroactively stack another coupon, but we'll give you a $50 refund, if you're o.k. with that."

$493 plus CA tax. Aww yeah.

It's too late now, but for anyone looking to buy one it's not too hard to find them for under 700 shipped on ebay. I just ordered one for about 675 after shipping.

just have one of us americans buy it for you, it gets shipped to us for free, and then we turn around and ship it to you. Much less tax this way, and even tho it will be a little more expensive than what we in the US can get it for, its still a hella lot cheaper than buying it yourself.

hell, I'll do this for anyone whos interested and I wont charge nothing for it.
